This office is operated under the Colorado Supreme Court, and is tasked with insuring that licensed legal professionals operate wihtin the ethical and legal bounds placed on them by the State of Colorado.

One of the most obvious tasks of this office is to investigate compaints of misconduct.  This includes alleged misconduct by Judges and magistraits, municipal judges, and licensed attorneys operating wihtin the state of Colorado.

This office also operates the Colorado Attorneys' Fund For Client Protection.  This fund was estabilished to help compensate victims of unethical attorneys.

This office also maintains a free online database noting license status and disciplinary history of any licensed Colorado attorney.  You can search by several criteria making this a valuable resource for screening potential lawyers.
